My lovely creative friend,
It’s been a while—over two years, to be exact! The last time I shared a pattern with you, I was in my third trimester of pregnancy, filled with hope and excitement for what was to come. Well, what a journey it has been! I’ve loved every precious moment of these past two years, spending time with my son and soaking in the joys of motherhood. For that, I’m endlessly grateful.
But if I’m being honest, I stepped away completely from what I had worked so hard to build—this wonderful community of creative, like-minded people. There was no goodbye, no “I’ll see you soon.” I truly thought I’d find time for crochet amidst it all. But the reality of sleepless nights and long, active days left little energy for my creative pursuits. It was a hard adjustment, and I had to let go of something I loved, at least for a little while.
Now, time has passed, and life looks a little different. My baby is now a toddler (still keeping me on my toes!), and I finally feel ready to return to my creative journey. I’m beyond excited to share that I have a real office! A beautiful, dedicated space where I can design, crochet, film, and dream. It feels like a fresh start—a space that’s just for me and my craft.
Starting in Summer 2025, I’ll officially be back! My goal is to share one new crochet pattern and video tutorial every month, along with a behind-the-scenes vlog. It’s a manageable start as I ease back into this world, and anything extra will be a bonus.
Here is how things are going to work:
- PATREON is the place where I share everything and more. What does that mean? If you want to know about my working plans and get patterns before everyone else, Patreon is the place to be. I offer free membership (crochet diaries and podcast newsletters) and paid memberships (early access to my tutorials, PDF patterns, and vlogs).
- MY BLOG Croby Patterns is where I will continue posting my patterns and tutorials and sharing information about my work. You can also subscribe to my newsletter to stay in the loop.
- I will continue posting my tutorials and occasional vlogs on YouTube. It is a great place to be, and you can subscribe and get a notification when something new is available on my channel.
- INSTAGRAM is not where I plan to spend much of my time, but I will still post occasional news and behind-the-scenes photos for everyone who enjoys using the platform and seeks inspiration there.
- ETSY and Ravelry (plus the new Croby Patterns shop that is coming soon) are all shops where you can find my patterns in PDF files. They usually include additional sizes to the patterns you can access on my blog.
Every piece of support means a lot to me and will help me to continue sharing tutorials, teaching people how to crochet, and hopefully, with my work, inspire others to try out this amazing craft we all love so much.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. I know some of you have been quietly waiting for my return, and your support means the world to me. I’ll admit, I’ve had my fears—wondering if I’d still be relevant, if anyone would still be here—but your encouragement has kept me going.
Here’s to this next chapter! I can’t wait to reconnect with you all, share new projects, and see what we can create together.
