Hello my lovely crocheters!
It has been a while since I’ve created my last amigurumi animal. I have been so into crochet baby booties, rompers and sweater lately that I totally forgot on my old love. For all of those who don’t know what amigurumi is; amigurumi is a Japanese art of knitting and crocheting small stuffed animals. Simple as that! 🙂

Amigurumi piggy Bella
You will need:
- crochet hook: 3.5 mm (E/4) and 2.75 mm (C/2)
- yarn needle
- stitch markers
- yarn: DK weight 100% cotton yarn in pink, red and white color, 50 g (1.75 oz)
- safety eyes
Gauge: 11 sts and 11 rows in sc measure 2 x 2 inch (5 x 5 cm).
Stitches:
- ch – chain
- ss – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- sc2tog – join next two sts with sc2tog.
- st/ sts – stitch/ stitches
- MC – main color – pink
- CC1 – contrast color – red
- CC2 – contrast color – white
All of my patterns are written in standard American terms.

HEAT
Work in rounds. Do not join at the end of each round. Use MC and 2.75 mm (C/2) crochet hook.
Start with a magic ring.
Round 1: Work 6 sc into the ring. = 6 sts.
Round 2: Work 2 sc into next 6 sts. = 12 sts.
Round 3: Repeat (work 2 sc into the first one, sc into the next one) 6 times. = 18 sts.
Round 4:Â Repeat (work 2 sc into the first one, sc into the next two) 6 times. = 24 sts.
Round 5:Â Repeat (work 2 sc into the first one, sc into the next three) 6 times. = 30 sts.
Round 6: Work sc into next 30 sts. = 30 sts.
Round 7:Â Repeat (work 2 sc into the first one, sc into the next four) 6 times. = 36 sts.
Round 8: Work sc into next 36 sts. = 36 sts.
Round 9:Â Repeat (work 2 sc into the first one, sc into the next five) 6 times. = 42 sts.
Round 10:Â Repeat (work 2 sc into the first one, sc into the next six) 6 times. = 48 sts.
Round 11 – 15: Sc 48. = 48 sts.
Place the safety eyes between rounds 10 and 11. Make sure they are 6 sts apart.
Round 16:Â Repeat (join next two sts with invisible sc2tog, sc into next six) 6 times. = 42 sts.
Round 17:Â Repeat (join next two sts with invisible sc2tog, sc into next five) 6 times. = 36 sts.
Round 18:Â Repeat (join next two sts with invisible sc2tog, sc into next four) 6 times. = 30 sts.
Round 19:Â Repeat (join next two sts with invisible sc2tog, sc into next three) 6 times. = 24 sts.
Start stuffing head firmly.
Round 20:Â Repeat (join next two sts with invisible sc2tog, sc into next two) 6 times. = 18 sts.
Round 21:Â Repeat (join next two sts with invisible sc2tog, sc into next one) 6 times. Ss into the next stitch. = 12 sts.
Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing.

BODY
Work in rounds. Do not join at the end of each round. Use MC and 2.75 mm (C/2) crochet hook.
Start with the magic ring.
Round 1: Work 6 sc into the ring. = 6 sts.
Round 2: Work 2 sc into next 6 sts. = 12 sts.
Round 3: Repeat (work 2 sc into the first one, sc into the next one) 6 times. = 18 sts.
Round 4: Sc 18. = 18 sts.
Round 5:Â Repeat (work 2 sc into the first one, sc into the next two) 6 times. = 24 sts.
Round 6 – 10: Sc 24. = 24 sts.
Round 11:Â Repeat (join next two sts with invisible sc2tog, sc into next two) 6 times. = 18 sts.
Round 12:Â Repeat (join next two sts with invisible sc2tog, sc into next one) 6 times. Ss into the next stitch. = 12 sts.
Start stuffing it firmly.
Round 13: Repeat invisible sc2tog 6 times. = 6 sts.
Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing.
DRESS
Work in rounds. Join at the end of each round with ss into the first stitch of the round.
Using MC and 2.75 mm (C/2) crochet hook, ch 24. Do not twist the chain. Join the chain with ss.
Round 1 – 5 (CC1): Sc 24. Ss. = 24 sts.
Round 6 (CC1): Repeat (work 2 hdc into the same stitch, hdc into next two) 8 times. Ss. = 32 sts.
Round 7 (CC1):Â Repeat (work 2 hdc into the same stitch, hdc into next three) 8 times. Ss. = 40 sts.
Fasten off.
Now dress the body part with a dress, the smaller hole should be on the same side as a body opening as seen on the picture.
Place the head on the top of the body, openings together.
Take the white yarn and create 2 more rounds of hdc sts on the dress part..
Round 8 – 9 (CC2): Hdc 40. Ss. =40 sts.
Fasten off.
ARMS
Work in rounds. Do not join at the end of each round. Use MC and 2.75 mm hook (C/2). You will need two of them.
Start with the magic ring.
Round 1: Work 6 sc into the same chain. = 6 sts.
Round 2 – 3: Sc 6. = 6 sts.
Round 4: Sc 5. Ss into the last one. = 6 sts.
Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing.
No staffing needed for this part!
Place the arms on the upper part of the body.
LEGS
Work in rounds. Do not join at the end of each round. Use MC and 2.75 mm (C/2) crochet hook. You will need two of them.
Start with a magic ring.
Round 1: Work 6 sc into the ring. = 6 sts.
Round 2: Work 2 sc into next 6 sts. = 12 sts.
Round 3 – 5: Sc 12. Â = 12 sts.
Staff it firmly.
Round 6: Repeat (join first two with sc2tog, sc into next one) 6 times. Ss into the next one.
Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing.
Place the legs on the lower part of the body, underneath the dress.
NOSE
Use MC and 2.75 mm (C/2) crochet hook. Ch 2. Work all the sts into 2nd chain from the hook: 3 hdc, 2sc, 2hdc, 2sc. Join the round with ss.
Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing.
Using a white yarn and yarn needle make two lines on the nose as seen in the picture.
Place the nose on the front side of the head beneath the eyes.
EARS
Use MC and 3.5 mm (E/4) crochet hook. You will need two ears. Ch 2. Work all the sts into 2nd chain from the hook: sc, hdc, dc, ch 2, dc, hdc, sc.
Fasten off and leave long tail for sewing.
Place the ears on the top of the head.
BOW
Take some red yarn and start folding it. When you do this 8 times, take white yarn and tie a knot around it. There is a video how to crochet Croby Bow on my YouTube channel.
Attach the bow on the pigs left ear (pigs left is your right :)).

Hi, the pig is adorable, but the pattern has many typos and mistakes. Just thought I’d let you know! It could use a good editing.
