Crochet Baby Berry Sweater

Hi, hello! Hope you are having a great day. My Autumn days are a bit lazy lately. If I am totally honest with myself I am not so productive as I would like to be. My ambitious thoughts for the Autumn this year were releasing one video and at least one or two blog posts per week. Yep, very ambitious.

This year’s snow was very early. My boyfriend and I were returning from the one week trip to our families. The roads were all white. And the fluffy snowflakes were falling from the sky like crazy. It was a good sign that the Winter is right behind the corner. I just love watching snow through our big dining room window and sipping a big cup of hot chocolate or my favorite tea. Can’t believe it’s almost the end of the year.

Crocheting is my favorite thing to do, especially in wintertime. I have been working on a crochet pattern for a baby sweater for weeks and I am so happy to say, that it’s finally done.

Puff stitch is what makes this sweater so playful and fun. Especially if you use contrast and vibrant colors as I did. I choose yellow and coral. I think they are just perfect for this.

Little ribbings around the collar, wrists and hips are an absolute must have. They gave the sweater more professional and not so much “my first homemade item” look.

If you would like to personalize it, use a ribbon with a homemade sign that you can find in your local yarn or craft store and sew it on the back inner side of the sweater, right beneath the collar part. You can even buy a leather or false leather ribbons with your personal logo or DIY signs on Etsy.

You can purchase the pattern on Etsy, Ravelry, Craftsy or Love Crochet. Happy crocheting!
