I am working on something new …

by Doroteja

Hello, my dear crocheters!

Flats have been my favorite shoes for years now. You can wear them almost all year long, with an exception of Winter when you need something really warm and cozy.

My old flats were all dirty and destroyed before they meet the trash can a few weeks ago. The new ones are more stylish, black,  with a pointy toe and cute pattern. The old ones have had a big bow on the front. It wasn’t just attached to the shoe like regular bows are. It was attached on the sides. They were all black and a little bit boring, but if you imagine a little bit of color on the bow, they would be great shoes for baby girls too.

And that was exactly what I did. In the memory of my old flats (not really :), I just borrowed the idea), I took some paper, pen, my favorite crochet hook and some yarn in different colors and started designing new crochet pattern. You can find the pattern HERE.

I decided to take a nice and soft Merino yarn in gray color for the main part and different cotton blends for the bow. Merino Drops Extra Fine Mix (100% wool) was just perfect for that. And for the bow… my favorite was Drops <3 You 7. This yarn is a little bit thinner so the fold in the middle of the bow was easy to make.

The written pattern and video tutorial will be available later this week. Because so many of you have been asking me for print-friendly pdf versions of my free patterns, I’ve decided to add something new on my to do list and start creating print-friendly and ad-free patterns that will be available in my Etsy, Love Crochet, and Craftsy store. I am considering to add some additional sizes that will be exclusive for pdf patterns only.

Hope you will like the pattern!

Have a wonderful day!

Kind wishes,

Doroteja
