Little Daisy Crochet Baby Booties – Free Pattern

by Doroteja

This is a crochet pattern for my easy beginner-friendlyย baby booties โ€“ Little daisy. Find out what inspired me to design this pattern, what yarn did I choose, and learn all the tricks on how to create perfect baby shoes.

Crochet Baby Booties by Croby Patterns

Three weeks, three videos, and three blog posts in a row. I am so happy I am finally getting back on track with filming, editing, and of course crocheting, which is my favorite thing to do.

Last week I was showing you what did I purchase in my recent yarn haul, two weeks ago I was sharing with you a pattern for crochet baby Granny Square romper and this week we will create a pair of cute baby booties for little girls.

I say for girls because we are going to use two tiny daisy flowers, one for each shoe to decorate our projects and make the even more cute.

But if you like the pattern and you would like to make it in a project for little boys, I recommend switching the daisies for pain round buttons that we are going to use for our project anyways, our find the buttons in a shape of a car or an animal.

Like always, please make sure you attach the pieces together with great care. They should not fall off the main part easily because they may pose a choking hazard. If you sell the finished items, attach a little note letting the person know they should be careful.

I am trying to figure out why every type of baby bootie I make turns out too big!! I use the correct hook and have always been told I crochet tightly… so frustrated…

Reply
Doroteja September 27, 2017 - 13:10

Hi, Sharon!
I am so sorry to hear that. If your final item is too big, just use a smaller crochet hook. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Lola! The text and photos are copy protected. I had to do that because too many people were copying the patterns and were trying to post them on their websites. You can print the pattern directly from your browser. ๐Ÿ™‚

Could you use 4ply 100% cotton for these or do you think they’ll be too small? Thank you!

Reply
Doroteja April 14, 2018 - 00:03

Hi! I think 4ply would be a little bit too thin for this project. ๐Ÿ™‚

Could you explain what hdc2tog means? I understand hdc is half double crochet, but tog does not appear in the Stitches and Abbreviations.

Reply
Doroteja March 25, 2019 - 12:56

Hi Cindi! HDC2tog means you have to join two hdc sts into one st. It’s a decrease in the pattern. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Tricia! This pattern is one of a few patterns I wrote that doesnโ€™t have written instructions for a bigger size. I will do my best to publish it in more sizes in the near future. I am putting it to my to-do list. Happy crocheting! ๐Ÿ™‚
