BERRY Crochet Baby Booties

by Doroteja

Hi lovely crocheters!
Finally I am back and a few minutes ago I uploaded my first pattern in 2015! The pattern for Berry Crochet Baby Booties/Flats. Yesterday I started a small game on my Facebook page. Because I didn’t have a name, I asked for your help. I asked you to leave me your proposal for the pattern name in the comment section below the picture. When I woke up this morning, there were already over 40 comments. You guys know how to make my day!

So more about the pattern…
This is a picture tutorial pattern like all Croby crochet patterns. It comes in 3 sizes newborn to 3 months, 3 months to 6 months and 6 to 12 months. If you have a newborn with really small feet use 3 mm hook instead 3,5 mm hook like it is stated in the pattern itself.

I use a DK yarn weight. Gauge for my yarn is 22 sts in 4 inches. So I would recommend the DK yarn or the yarn that obtain the gauge.
These shoes are cute and fun. The pattern is super easy to follow. There is picture for almost each round.

Stay in touch because I will upload a few ideas how to achieve a few variations of these shoes using the same pattern. This exact pattern!

Please be careful, all my patterns are in standard American terms!

Dear Doroteja,
Nice blog ! Thanks a lot for the beautiful patterns. I am beginner to crochet. I have a question. Hope you can help me in this. I am trying to make baby booties to new born. But I am always ends with small size than required (8cm). Although I use the same size needle as mentioned in the yarn. And I am using baby yarn type 2 or superfine yarn.

Please help!
Thank you

Thank you Anu,
Do you check the gauge before you start? Gauge is very important. 🙂 I use Sport weight yarn or DK weight yarn for all my patterns. And most of the time 3,5 or 3,mm hook. If you use recommended hook size and the final item is still too small, try with thicker yarn 🙂
